What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler position at Gulf Coast Social Services?
Gulf Coast Social Services Houma Region is hiring a full-time Scheduler for the HCBS / waiver programs. The Scheduler is responsible for scheduling Direct Service Workers across all assigned programs to ensure complete and accurate service implementation. The ideal candidate will possess good judgment, initiative and decision-making skills. The ability to read and write, good interpersonal skills, a working knowledge of business etiquette, the ability to represent the Agency in a professional manner and to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, scheduling direct service workers to provide services according to each client’s plan of care throughout HCBS programs. Provide 24-hour on call-coverage to staffing issues. Create bi-weekly work schedules for each client and provide Program Coordinators and Program Director with master schedules. Maintain regular communication with Program Coordinators regarding employee attendance. Assist in training direct care workers and serve as a member of hiring committee when needed.
A high school diploma or GED certificate with a minimum of one (1) year of direct service worker experience is required. Applicant must pass a criminal record background check and motor vehicle record check, have a valid driver’s license, current auto liability insurance, and have access to a reliable vehicle in safe operating condition with current inspection stickers.
