Youth Respite Staff needed in the Baton Rouge area to provide brief respite for youth with emotional or behavioral disorders in the community (parks, libraries, recreational outings) or in the youth’s home. This is an excellent entry level opportunity for students in Social Services, Education and related disciplines.
The Short Term Respite program is designed to give the primary caregivers of youth with emotional, mental or behavioral disorders brief periods of respite (3 – 4 hours) in order for the caregiver to relax, rejuvenate, or attend to personal needs. Positions are part-time and services are usually delivered after school hours and weekends.
- All Youth Respite Staff receive paid training, including CPR/First Aid.
- Hourly rate ($13.00/hr.) plus mileage reimbursement.
- Must have valid driver’s license, high school diploma, reliable transportation and be able to pass criminal background checks, drug screen and TB test.
