TYPICAL WORKING CONDITION:
Work may require sitting for long periods of time: also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies, occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, facsimile, operate a calculator, telephone, copier and other such office equipment as necessary. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens as well as handwriting for long periods.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in the medical office providing minor invasive procedures. Work may be stressful at times. Interaction with others is constant. Contact involves dealing with sick people.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with the following:
· Report to Director of Clinical Operations, Clinical Lead.
· Assist physician and NP in exam rooms and pre/post areas, procedure rooms.
· Escort patients to pre/post/procedure area, interviews patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, perform ABIs and document all information in patient’s chart
· Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or NP
· Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed is available in patients’ medical records prior to their appointment
· Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
· Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
· Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen)
Responsible for all patient charts being ready and available (attaching paper work)according to the schedule on a daily basis. Including proper documentation into the patients EMR
· Greet and assist all incoming visitors/patients in a cheerful and professional manner.
· Responsible for scheduling all patients for their needed procedures at the Center.
Reception responsibilities: answer phones, receive referral information and enter in EHR.
· Other appropriate duties may be assigned that are not listed in the description.

PERFORMANCEREQUIREMENTS- KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
This position requires a minimum of one (1) year experience as a medical assistant/CNA.
Basic Medical terminology and knowledge of medical specialties and required skills is required.
Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
CNA license/Medical assistant certification required.
BLS certification.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12-14/hr.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
