Job Description
Gulf Coast News NBC/ABC in Fort Myers, Florida has an opening for a Summer Intern in our News Department.
Interns will spend 10-12 weeks shadowing various positions in the Newsroom. An example of various tasks that you may perform and gain experience in include:
Assignment Desk - Assist team members in gathering news and information. This includes taking and placing telephone calls from reporters, sources, government agencies and general public; may also assist in research and other tasks.
News Producing - Practice writing and formatting scripts for broadcast.
Digital News Production - Help research and write content for digital platforms.
Photographers - Assist team members with field work and news gathering.
