What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Treatment Technician position at GULF COASTAL SERVICES?
Everyday duties and responsibilities:
- You are to represent the company in a professional manner and provide great customer service to clients.
- You will perform general labor associated with each specific site which includes maintain tank levels, service fuel pumps, take water samples and water data, back-wash media filters, communicate with site operations, complete daily toolbox and safety topics, schedule deliveries and maintain the water unit.
- You will also be responsible for submitting field service reports, expense reports, timesheets, and other necessary paperwork needed.
- You must recognize and comply with health and safety rules and policies applicable with each site.
- You will need to clean and organize the workspace on a daily basis.
- In addition, the service technician will also perform duties that result from work scope changes.
- Must be open to travel.
- Other duties can be assigned by supervisor or manager.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job. The employee must be able to pass the Fit for Duty physical exam issued in the pre hiring process. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, must be able to work in different weather conditions, and must be able to go up and down a ladder safely.
Work Environment:
The employee might experience working in wet or humid conditions (non-weather related). The employee will also be exposed regularly to fumes, airborne particles, and caustic or toxic chemicals. The expected noise level is usually moderate.
Jobsites:
The employee will be expected to rotate through multiple sites in Texas. We have sites in Pasadena, Houston, and Bay City. We also occasionally travel to San Marcos and Edinburg.
Appearance:
Certain sites we work for require a clean-shaven face for safety reasons. Mustaches are allowed to an extent.
