MIS Specialist
Location : Mobile, AL, Milton, FL
Reports To : Technology Project Manager
Description
The MIS Specialist is integral to maintain and optimize the information systems and software that support Gulf Distributing Holdings business Operations. This role ensures accuracy for reporting and encompasses all aspects of the VIP system, including websites and apps. Additionally, the position assists with daily processes and provides coverage for other MIS team members when needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Account and Customer Management :
Set up new accounts, route changes, and maintain customer data.
Manage user security profiles and ensure proper access to RAS platforms.Add and delete products as required by the business.Data Integrity : Ensure accurate and reliable data entry into the RAS system.System Integration : Maintain data links between VIP and third-party software vendors.Team Support : Assist dispatch teams and cover for MIS personnel as needed.Application Oversight : Maintain IOS apps used by sales and delivery teams, including updates.Training : Train personnel on VIP applications relevant to their roles.Technical Support : Provide assistance with RAS-related inquiries and resolve issues.Reporting :Generate sales and distribution reports for suppliers as requested.
Submit weekly recaps of accomplishments and ongoing projects to the Director of System Applications.Software Maintenance :Test and implement new software versions.
Keep software updated to the latest releases.Analytical Support : Address questions about inventory, pricing, and costs based on RAS data.Project Management :Handle special projects, including re-routes and custom field additions.
Manage commissions, ensuring timely processing and communication with HR and payroll.Required Qualifications
