Description

The District Sales Manager is responsible for leading, directing, and controlling the sales, merchandising and delivery activities within all assigned accounts.

Duties & Responsibilities

匹ontinually direct and monitor the Salespersons in the areas of marketing plan goals, sales, new placements, distribution, rotation, code dates, pricing, POS, displays, and cooler position.

匹onduct daily and weekly meetings with assigned sales team to properly communicate goals and other important information.

畢ive and train PIITCHER selling to sales teams.

匹onduct Power Coaching ride with to train team on all aspects of their assigned duties.

筆onitor all accounts receivables for your area to ensure they are collected in a timely manner.

紐eview and adjust daily (if necessary) the work assignments of the Merchandisers.

標ith the approval of the General Manager implement route re-alignments that are necessary to improve customer service.

匹onduct on-the-job training for all Salespersons to ensure the professional and consistent performance from the team.

姫romote the sales of company products through personal selling efforts and regular contacts with individual accounts, chain stores and large retailers.

筆ake sales calls on key accounts to ensure close working relationships with owners and managers.

筆aintain updated sales and distribution information by Salesperson for all brands and packages. Weekly review new package placements and distribution changes.

菱ave a working knowledge of all sales routes and, if necessary, fill-in during sick and vacation leave.

百upervise the implementation of cooler and warm shelf resets.

筆aintain a positive working relationship with the owners, managers and employees of all assigned accounts.

疋emonstrate a sincere interest in the business success of each account that is assigned to you.

柊dvise and train retailers and their employees in the proper methods of selling, merchandising, and pricing of the products you supply to them.

百pend time in the market working with your employees and making key account calls.

柊ll other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

柊t least five years of industry-related experience including three years in sales management required.

必nowledge of and demonstrated experience with transportation management software. Prior use of VIP or similar software package.

柊ccess to reliable transportation. If driving an automobile while on company business, must possess a valid driver痴 license in your state of residence and auto insurance. Must be able to pass a background check, MVR, and drug screen.
