Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laborer/Helper to join our team. As a Laborer/Helper, you will assist in various tasks to support our operations. At Gulf Electroquip Ltd., we are committed to continuously improving our products & processes to provide the highest quality, maximum value and outstanding service to our customers. Gulf Electroquip is located in Houston, Texas, USA. We specialize in new, remanufactured and repaired AC and DC motors and generators for the oil & gas, dredging, paper, petrochemical, mining, utilities and transportation industries. Our power equipment can be engineered and manufactured to meet the specific needs of your industry. All our engineering is performed at our facility making sure that your exact specifications are met.
Responsibilities:
·This individual will be support for all departments in the shop area as needed.
·Use of specialized equipment such as die grinders, air and pneumatic tools, buffing wheels, paint and grease solvent spray guns, cranes, etc. is required.
·Use of specialized equipment such as sandblaster or high pressure hot water spray gun to clean motors and parts is required.
· This individual will be trained to use the parts washers and mini sandblasting equipment as well.
·This individual will be trained to properly clean and prepare the surface of final productions parts for priming and painting.
·This individual will be trained to properly remove old coils from motor stators. At that time they will then clean and prepare the slots of an electric motor or generator for renewed service.
·Observance of all safety procedures and the use of the proper personal protective equipment is vital.
Other duties assigned as necessary.
·No previous knowledge or experience required.
·Ability to use equipment described.
This individual must be able to work independently.
