Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Offshore Rope Access Level III Technician to join our team at Gulf Island Fabrication. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe execution of rope access operations on offshore platforms, including inspections, maintenance, repairs, blasting, painting and rigging.
The ideal candidate will possess an active SPRAT or IRATA Level III Certification, advanced theoretical knowledge of rope access equipment and techniques, and the ability to work at heights. They must also be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen, as well as a background check.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use rope access techniques to perform and lead rope access technicians in advanced inspections, maintenance, repairs, blasting, painting and rigging on offshore platforms
- Develop and implement rope access work plans and risk assessments
- Supervise and mentor Level I and Level II Rope Access Technicians
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of rope access operations
Requirements:
- Active SPRAT or IRATA Level III Certification
- Advanced theoretical knowledge of rope access equipment and techniques
- Ability to work at heights
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols
