This role requires working under the direct supervision of a Rope Access Level III Technician.
Main Responsibilities
- Safely perform basic inspections, maintenance, repairs, blasting, painting, and rigging on offshore platforms using rope access techniques and equipment.
- Use blasting and painting tools, equipment, and techniques to coat offshore platforms in difficult-to-reach areas.
- Adhere to safety procedures, including proper equipment inspection, fall protection measures, and communication protocols.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills as a SPRAT or IRATA Rope Access Level I Technician.
- Document and communicate work completed, including any issues or incidents.
- Maintain a climbing logbook according to SPRAT/IRATA guidelines.
- Perform basic self-rescue maneuvers.
- Attend safety meetings and perform safety checks.
- Assist other technicians as needed.
