Description : Main Purpose :
The Offshore Rope Access Level I Technician, under the direct supervision of a Rope Access Level III Technician, safely carries out fundamental inspections, upkeep, repairs, blasting, painting and rigging tasks on offshore platforms using rope access techniques and equipment.
Essential Functions :
- Use rope access techniques to perform basic inspections, maintenance, repairs, blasting, painting and rigging on offshore platforms under the direct supervision of a Rope Access Level III Technician
- Use blasting and painting tools, equipment, and techniques in the coating of offshore platforms while accessing difficult-to-reach areas
- Adhere to safety procedures, including proper equipment inspection, fall protection measures and communication protocols
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills of a SPRAT or IRATA Rope Access Level I Technician
- Document and communicate work completed, including any issues or incidents
- Maintain climbing logbook per SPRAT / IRATA guidelines
- Perform basic self-rescue maneuvers
- Attend safety meetings and perform safety checks
- Assist other technicians
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

Environmental Conditions :
80% to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc. They may also be exposed to fumes (Paint, paint thinners, diesel, / or gas, etc.)
