Description
Main Purpose:
The main purpose of the Cost Control/Accounts Receivable Intern is to support the accounting team by tracking costs, creating invoices, auditing financial records, and managing purchase orders. This position offers a valuable opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in financial operations within the company.
Essential Functions:
- Track all job-related costs in job trackers
- Create AR invoices and input in General Ledger
- Audit DSR Tracker/Invoices
- Create CSV files to an invoice itemized level and ensure total agrees to invoice amount
- Track customer purchase order balances
- Analyze purchase order activity and request uplifts as needed
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
Duration & Hours:
This internship position is being offered for the summer of 2025 (approximately May-August). The intern has the option of working part-time or full-time hours.

Requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15lbs
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be able to pass background check
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
Desirable Experience, Education, and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
Tools, Equipment, and Technology:
- Office phones, copy machines, and computers
Environmental Conditions:
85% to 90% of the job duties are performed in an office environment. Some outdoor activities are a requirement of the role including yard tours and jobsite visits.
