Main Purpose:
The Scaffold Builder Helper assists the Scaffold Builders with safely erecting and dismantling scaffolding to provide temporary work access for structures.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements:
80% to 90% of the work activities are performed outdoors. Individuals will be required to work in changes of temperature, hot, cold, humid, wet, and dry conditions, dust, mud, etc. They may also be exposed to fumes (Paint, paint thinners, diesel, /or gas, etc.)

Main Purpose:
The Scaffold Builder Helper assists the Scaffold Builders with safely erecting and dismantling scaffolding to provide temporary work access for structures.
Essential Functions
- Assists in erecting and dismantling scaffolding to provide work platforms on the worksite for temporary work such as painting, repairing welding, or other work required to construct a structure
- Assists in loading, unloading, and organizing scaffolding materials
- Assists in regularly inspecting and maintaining scaffolding equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
- Uses various hand tools
- Assists in selecting materials and fitting together steel pipes
- Assists in placing planks over horizontal bars to create platforms
- Assists in checking levels in scaffolding structure
- Identifying potential safety hazards and taking necessary precautions to mitigate risks
- Ensuring scaffolding is stable and safe for use by other workers
- Follow instructions, written and verbal, with little or no supervision
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor

- Lifting - employees must lift to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 pounds
- 2 years experience as a scaffold builder helper
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Pliers, hammers, wrenches, lifting devices, safety equipment (belt, harness, etc.), man lifts and high reach equipment
