Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Airfield Management Assistant to join our team at the Gulf Shores International Airport. This role involves providing assistance to the Airfield Management Team in the coordination of airport operations, including air traffic, commercial and general aviation, airport safety and security, and airport maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of FAR Part 139, TSR Part 1542, and all other federal, state, and local rules, regulations, standards, and requirements governing these areas.
Main Responsibilities
• Assist in the coordination of airfield operations, including air traffic, commercial and general aviation, airport safety and security, and airport maintenance
• Develop and implement plans for airfield operations and maintenance
• Collaborate with airport authorities, tenants, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols
• Conduct regular inspections of airfield facilities and equipment
• Provide training to airport staff on safety and security procedures
• Assist in investigating incidents and accidents
• Report findings and recommendations to management
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
