About the Role
The Gulf Shores International Airport is seeking a skilled Facilities Coordinator to oversee the coordination of airport facilities in accordance with established policies and procedures. This role requires a strong working knowledge of FAR Part 139, TSR Part 1542, and all other federal, state, and local rules, regulations, standards, and requirements governing air traffic, commercial and general aviation, airport safety and security, airport and movement area operating and maintenance standards, and other relevant matters.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate the use of airport facilities by various stakeholders
• Develop and implement plans for facility usage and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards
• Provide excellent customer service to airport tenants, visitors, and staff
• Collaborate with airport authorities, tenants, and regulatory agencies to ensure safety and security
• Issue NOTAMs as necessary to report conditions impacting safe aircraft operations
• Assist with event planning and coordination
• Enforce airport rules and regulations
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and industry practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
