Role Description :
This is a full-time on-site role for a Projects and Planning Manager located in Gulf Shores, AL. The Projects and Planning Manager will be responsible for overseeing project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and implementation. This role involves collaborating with various organizations to ensure successful project completion and implementation.
Qualifications
- Responsible for Capital projects from initiation to closing.
- Knowledge of methods and techniques used in the design, construction, installation, testing, maintenance and operation of public water and sewer facilities.
- Knowledge of State Bid Laws, Federal and State regulations governing operation of a public water supply system and ground water treatment facility.
- Comprehension of hydraulic design and computer hydraulic modeling of gravity collection systems pressure conveyance systems, pumps, etc.
- Knowledge of Water Distribution System and their components, infrastructure and industry standards.
- Knowledge of Wastewater Treatment and their components, infrastructure and industry standards.
- Computer skills to include spreadsheets, GIS mappings and ERSI ArcGIS Suite.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate, and examine data. Establish facts and draw valid conclusions to problem solving, making decisions and present recommendations for action.
- Ability to interpret and communicate engineering plans and specification, applicable code requirements, and government regulations
- Ability to plan, prioritize and manage work assignments for self and staff in a timely and efficient manner.
- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Minimum of six years in the engineering field, water and / or wastewater utility industry, three-years' experience in utility construction and inspection; however, any combination of education and experience which results in the qualifications listed above will be considered.
