A Day In The Life

The Manager, Marketing Strategy role will report directly to the Director of Marketing & Business Intelligence. The position will be charged with 4 primary functions :

  • Develop creative content for use by GSFSGroup in marketing materials, sales materials and advertising campaigns (verbiage rather than graphic design). Review and edit existing materials as directed to maintain modern and relevant messaging.
  • Conduct industry and competitor research to assist with presentations, regular reporting and sales materials.
  • Prepare presentation materials in response to corporate requests, cross-company information needs, sales materials, strategy plans, and period ending reports and analysis.
  • Liaise with GST on core shared initiatives to ensure we are in sync with partners on joint projects including TCUV, SmartPath, Signal and Toyota Care and Toyota Service Care products.
  • As a Marketing Strategy Manager you will :

  • Possess strong communication skills as this associate may be asked to make presentations to, or participate in, collaborative efforts with teams of people at all levels in the company and from partners or vendors.
  • Be confident in his / her speaking skills and may be asked to present on a topic or research with little notice or time for preparation.
  • Have strong writing skills and be capable of creating reports and presentations that express complex financial or industry topics in a way that can be understood by individuals with little knowledge on the subject.
  • Collaborate and frequently work on teams with various associates, departments and companies, sometimes with different motivations.
  • Have a working knowledge of the automotive industry and ideally understand the basics of how the industry works from a Tier 1, 2 and 3 perspective.
  • Enjoy conducting research and analyzing trends.
  • Be capable of deep dive analysis and be able to summarize information clearly for corporate leadership.
  • Collaborate with other members of the marketing department on the development of ad campaigns and marketing materials.
  • Create internal presentations related to period ending performance, corporate strategy and ad hoc requests for executive and team meetings.
  • Manage collaborative sales projects on behalf of GSFSGroup, where cross-company collaboration is required including TCUV, SmartPath, Signal and Service Drive products, etc.
  • Refine and / or update marketing and sales materials on an ongoing basis using input from the field team, input from the executive team and product department and through use of AI platforms to streamline content messaging, in collaboration with the Sr. Manager of Marketing.
  • What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and 1 - 3 years of experience. Brand management, sales, or experience in the automotive industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Power Point, and Excel preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
  • Physical and Environmental Requirements

While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

    Travel Requirements

    20% May be required to travel to customer or vendor sites.
