Gulfshore Business seeks a senior writer / editor to work with our editorial team, providing coverage of the Southwest Florida business community. The ideal candidate should understand the Fort Myers / Lee County business landscape and the importance of local community news with the ability to write clean copy on deadline that’s accurate, thorough, concise and thought provoking.
Responsibilities :
- Meet daily, monthly deadlines
- Pursue exclusive content on a variety of topics from real estate to education to government
- Develop long-form enterprise and investigative pieces
- Cultivate and maintain a network of sources and relationships with key players in our communities
- Dig underneath the words of city / county government agendas to find what’s really coming up at government meetings
- Attend city / county government meetings
