What is CEI?
Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) involves overseeing heavy civil construction projects to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and regulatory standards. CEI professionals play a crucial role as the Owners representative in quality control, contractor oversight, and project team management to ensure successful project delivery.
Position Overview
We are seeking a CEI Project Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of administrative experience in heavy civil construction . The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with exceptional organizational skills, time management expertise, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. This role involves the coordination of all administrative aspects of construction projects, from scope and fee preparation to pre-construction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities :
- Bid Administration : Assist with the administration of project construction bids, including advertisement, bid tabulation, and award coordination.
- Pre-Construction Coordination : Schedule and organize pre-construction meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.
- Shop Drawing Review Coordination : Facilitate and track shop drawing submissions and approvals, ensuring timely responses.
- Project Progress Meetings : Schedule, coordinate, and document regular project progress meetings with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Contractor Pay Applications : Process and verify contractor pay applications, ensuring compliance with contract terms and project milestones.
- RFI Management : Monitor and track Requests for Information (RFI) to ensure timely responses, preventing project delays.
- As-Built & Permit Closeout : Manage project as-built review and permit closeout processes to secure Certificates of Occupancy and final project approvals.
- Scope & Budget Management : Assist in monitoring project budgets, preventing scope creep, and ensuring financial accountability.
