Job Overview

This position performs general repairs, installations, and maintenance for all electrical components found on property under the direction of the Facilities Manager and Director of Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining, servicing, rebuilding, troubleshooting, repairing, and operating all industrial, commercial, and non-commercial electrical equipment and utilities as it pertains to the continuous smooth operation of Company property.
  • Maintaining all facility electrical systems in accordance to all applicable codes, standards, and use specifications, including electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Carrying out assigned work procedures and work schedules.
  • Taking proactive corrective action to ensure electrical systems are maintained and operate as needed.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Health & Safety responsibilities by following Company policies, procedures, and training.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma; must have a State of Florida Electrical License. EC - An "electrical contractor" means a person who conducts business in the electrical trade field and who has the experience and knowledge install, repair, alter, add to, or design electrical wiring, fixtures, appliances, apparatus, raceways, and conduit, including the electrical installations and systems within plants and substations and ALL alarm systems and specialty categories.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience of advanced knowledge of all aspects of electrical work.
  • Strong customer service orientation required.
  • Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
  • Strong computer skills to include effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50-75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
  • Licenses, Certifications, Registration : Requires a Slot Combo Occupational License. Requires a Florida driver's license. State of Florida Electrical License required.
