Gulfstream Staffing is partnered with one of the largest and oldest insurance agencies in South Florida. We are currently seeking candidates for an HR Generalist opportunity to be based in Ft Lauderdale, FL. This position will primarily be handling HR responsibilities but will also provide Admin Support to the CEO. The HR Generalist role is 100% On-Site and will require occasional travel to their other two office locations (Boca Raton and Coral Gables).
Position: HR Generalist
HR Generalist Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
HR Generalist Duties:
- Conduct employee orientation and onboarding
- Coordinate and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
- Assist in the management of talent initiatives, support managers in performance evaluation processes, and career development programs, and in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.
- Ensure company compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (EEO, ADA, FMLA, etc.)
- Maintain employee records and HR databases using systems such as Employee Navigator and ADP.
- Collaborate with management to implement HR policies and procedures that support the company's growth and maintain a positive work environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance on company policies, conflict resolution, and best HR practices.
HR Generalist Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of HR experience as an HR Generalist preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of human capital management practices, employment laws, and regulations; experience in benefits administration, recruitment, and employee relations.
- Proficiency in HRIS software such as iCIMS, Workday, ADP, UKG, or similar platforms is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred but not required.
