We seek a skilled Energy Engineer to join our Santa Monica, CA team. This engineer specializes in designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems and energy solutions. This role focuses on creating energy-efficient designs, performing advanced modeling, and ensuring compliance with California Title-24 energy standards. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cutting-edge, sustainable solutions for commercial mechanical construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently complete Title-24 Reports and energy models with a strong understanding of California energy compliance standards.
- Utilize EnergyPro software to develop and optimize energy models that meet client goals and project timelines.
- Apply proficient knowledge of AutoCAD and coordinate with other disciplines, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, to ensure seamless project integration.
- Provide technical support during construction phases, ensuring energy-efficient designs are implemented effectively.
- Perform project coordination, including value engineering assessments, to balance cost savings with project risks.
- Manage multiple projects, adhering to established budgets and schedules while delivering high-quality work.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to drive energy efficiency goals and innovation in design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven ability to independently complete Title-24 Reports and energy modeling.
- Hands-on experience with EnergyPro and proficient knowledge of AutoCAD drafting.
- Strong understanding of architectural integration with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with sustainability certifications, such as LEED, is a plus.
- Additional certifications, such as Certified Energy Analyst (CEA) or Certified Energy Plans Examiner (CEPE), are highly desirable.
