About Gulish & Associates, Inc.:
We are a growing financial services firm in Shelton, CT; providing wealth management services and financial planning to our clients for over 35 years. We're looking to add a paraplanner to our team to assist in a wide variety of support and research tasks. We provide a high level of personalized service to our clients. You'll play a critical role interacting directly with clients, investment companies, and the firm's financial advisors. Our team is searching for someone to take on a high level of responsibility over time and continue to grow with our firm. As our firm continues to expand, there is significant opportunity for increased specialization and personal growth.

- Professional interpersonal skills with clients
- Comfort working in a small office environment
- Good understanding of financial planning concepts and terminology
- Knowledge of mutual fund, stock, bond, insurance, and annuity products
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Minimum 2 to 3 years in a financial services role preferred, not required
Responsibilities Include:
- Help advisors prepare for client meetings
- Anticipate advisor needs and handle them proactively
- Assist advisor with marketing efforts, such as following up with referrals
- Review statements provided by clients and update advisor on findings
- Input values into appropriate planning software
- Identify problem areas and summarize for the advisor
- Conduct research
- Assist with trading and rebalancing client portfolios based on advisor’s criteria and using appropriate tools (e.g., Model Management)
- Respond to client questions and concerns
- Attend client meetings and take detailed notes. Complete any follow-up tasks after the meeting and add notes to CRM
- Work with the client service associate to ensure all transactions are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Required to pass Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65)
