What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Attendant position at Gull Lake Animal Hospital?
Gull Lake Boarding Kennel is growing and we need more help! Help us maintain our reputation of excellence in our Boarding and Day Care Facility by caring for, cats and dogs who board with us on a regular basis.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to recognize and know the signs of a stressed animal are vital to this job.
- Must be 18 years or older and possess a high school diploma or equivalents.
- Ability to work independently and accomplish all tasks, including cleaning runs, laundry and keeping facility clean.
- Primary responsibility for animal husbandry including feeding, bedding & housing, exercising, cleaning, record keeping & safety
- Seeking a client-service oriented, reliable, punctual person with integrity, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills.
- Computer knowledge and phone etiquette is required.
- Self-starter and self motivated.
- This position is approximately 20 - 30 hours per week, involves holiday, evening and weekend hours.
- Able to lift 50 pounds or more
- Kennel experience is preferred.
