Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. As a dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the hotel's kitchen, ensuring our culinary team can operate efficiently and deliver exceptional guest experiences. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashers or manual methods.
Maintain clean and organized workstations, including dish pit areas and dish storage.
Follow proper procedures for disposing of waste and recycling materials.
Kitchen Support :
Assist with basic cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down counters.
Support the culinary team by ensuring clean tools, equipment, and dishware are readily available.
Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Safety and Sanitation :
Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
Follow all hotel safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is a plus but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Basic understanding of sanitation and safety practices (training will be provided).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-player mentality.
Work Environment
Kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and water.
Standing for long periods and performing physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and moving heavy objects.
