What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting and Office Administrator position at Gumberg Asset Management Corp.?
The ideal candidate will have bookkeeping and/or accounts payable and accounts receivable experience preferably in a commercial real estate management office. In addition, experience in general office administration and/or as a receptionist is helpful. From processing payments received from tenants; to coding and paying invoices; as well as covering office phones; and generally assisting in various adminstrative tasks such as filing, you will be responsible for completing multi-level tasks in a professional and timely manner. The candidate should also enjoy working in a small office setting.
Responsibilities
- Process tenant rent checks and code and input and process vendor bills for payment
- Cover office phones and reception desk on a rotating basis with other staff
- Provide administrative support to senior and executive level staff as needed
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) required
- Bookkeeping and/or accounts receivable and accounts payable experience required
- Experience using commercial real estate accounting software such as Skyline or Yardi preferred
- Experience using Quickbooks a plus
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
- Be a team player willing to help out with various tasks and enjoy learning new skills
