Job Summary :
As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders, documents related to ingredients and packaging materials, and vendor relationships. You will work closely with the inventory and warehouse departments to ensure that materials are on hand to supply the needs of the contract manufacturing business. The perfect candidate will have the ability to multitask while being extremely organized with high attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities :
- Create and process purchase orders in accordance with GummyWorks’ policies and
- procedures
- Source new suppliers and manage vendor relationships
- Negotiate price and purchasing terms with vendors
- Ensure that purchased products and technical documents meet the requirements of our
- customers and facility
- Oversee entire life cycle of procurement process
- Coordinate and manage the logistics of delivery schedules to maintain required inventory
- levels of hundreds of items
- Adhere to GMP and safety regulations while handling materials.
- Assist in audits and compliance checks related to purchased materials.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
