Position Summary:
The Beverage Porter is responsible for providing AAA 4-Diamond customer service while assisting the team in serving food and beverages to guests and the service team. The Beverage Porter is expected to exemplify the duties of the role, while performing responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

In this Role:
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude, ensuring positive guest interactions by always demonstrating Gun Lake Casino Resort’s AAA 4-Diamond service standards.
- Follow the 7 Steps of Service as outlined by the F&B department to ensure guest satisfaction and consistently high secret-shop scores.
- Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Gun Lake Casino Resort’s culture of guest service and demonstrating Gun Lake Casino Resort’s Unsurpassed Service Standards at all time.
- Inform the immediate supervisor of any product shortages and equipment needs.
- Must hold a TIPS alcohol training certification card. Must carry TIPS cards at all times during shift and act responsibly in accordance with health and alcohol training.
- Behave in a positive, professional manner that reflects “Beyond the Best” practices.
- Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so. Comply with Board of Health Standards and Serve Same.
- Maintain good personal grooming and uniform standards pursuant to the Company’s policies.
- Have knowledge of the MSDS booklet location for your area.
- Must have knowledge of casino safety procedures and emergency evacuation procedures for the guests and team members.
- Inform the manager on duty of any Team Member of Guest opportunities.
- Be knowledgeable on the proper handling and use of chemicals by utilizing cleaning supplies including stainless steel cleaners, disinfectants, and all-purpose cleaners.
- Have product recognition and know how to properly fill out a product transfer sheet for accuracy of inventory purposes.
- Responsible for maintaining the stock and cleanliness of bars, service stations, and the pump/soda room. This includes sweeping, mopping, trash removal, polishing, and deep cleaning of assigned areas.
- Ensure the coolers, bars, and service stations are well stocked and equipped for smooth service. Notify management when stock orders are required.
- Ensure an “Unsurpassed Service” image of all bars and storage areas.
- All other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests, Team Members, and management in both written and verbal form.
- Must manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and mature decision-making.
- Adhere to all company and department policies and procedures as well as all “Unsurpassed Service” practices.
- Ability to handle a flexible schedule.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment while maintaining proper portion control, safety, health, and service standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Ability to read, write, and input data into the computer.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment.
- Must have the ability to access all properties and areas.
- Ability to sit and work on a computer station for a long period of time.
- Ability to climb, bend, reach to a height of 6 feet, push, pull, stoop, grasp, walk, and stand for the duration of shift.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs with or without assistance.
- Ability to push or pull a cart and/or operate a pallet jack with or without assistance.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold and/or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Work may be performed in a small area with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a sitting or non-sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and guests.
