Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental procedures and patient care, with a focus on providing exceptional support to our dental team. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth workflow and a positive experience for our patients. Experience is preferred but on the job training will be provided for exceptional candidates.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatrics.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed.
- Record vital signs and medical history of patients accurately.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Manage patient appointments, including scheduling and confirming visits.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations.
- Spanish speaking is a preferred but not mandatory
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and vital signs is essential.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus.
- Experience with dental receptionist duties is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with a large team is a must.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
