Gundersen Health System is in search of an Employment Coordinator to add to our growing team!
The Employment Coordinator works closely with Gundersen Recruiters and has a centralized focus on the new hire & transfer experience. Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and polished customer service skills in order to act as a liaison for new hires/ internal transfers from the time they accept an offer to the time they start in their new role.
Additionally, candidates must also have strong attention to detail as they will be responsible for submitting and reviewing background checks, verifying license/certifications/education, registering new hires for New Employee Orientation (NEO), and ensuring all pre-employment requirements are completed prior to start date.

Job Description:
The Employment Coordinator sources and refers applicants for employment of Gundersen Health System. Offers employment to applicants selected for positions. Works with community agencies and schools/universities to promote employment opportunities at Gundersen Health System. Performs recruitment and placement activities to develop and provide an effective work force for Gundersen Health System.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Post requisitions for hiring managers, consults on details of postings
2. Verification of employment qualifications for internal and external applicants.
3. Consults with hiring managers to learn details about technical skills, licensing and certifications required, and necessary interpersonal communication skills as needed in order to meet job specifications and needs of hiring departments. Refers qualified applicants to hiring managers with Gundersen Health System.
4. May attend job fairs and other employment-related functions as needed.
5. Makes offers to new employees of start date, job location, hours of work, and other data pertinent to the given position.
6. Works with external support services as needed to fill positions with best qualified temporary or permanent employees.
7. Investigates and implements process improvement initiatives related to the employment process to ensure the most efficient use of resources and produce more effective outcomes.
8. Schedules appropriate orientation to the organization, to the role, and to the department.
9. Initiates follow-up contact with new hires to enhance comfort level and retention. Works with hiring manager and HROM regarding new hire issues or concerns.
10. Performs other job-related responsibilities as requested.
Education and Learning:
REQUIRED Associate degree in a related field
DESIRED Bachelor's degree in a related field
Work Experience:
REQUIRED 2 years Human Resource, business administrative, or related experience or practical work experience in recruitment.
License and Certifications:
DESIRED Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
