What You'll Do
This dynamic department consists of 20 total patient exam rooms including 13 exam rooms, 4 procedure rooms, 2 consult/discharge rooms, and one Physician in Triage room. Urgent Care Technicians/EMTs in this department are expected to perform with a high degree of clinical and professional aptitude while helping deliver patient care as part of a professional multidisciplinary team that includes MDs, DOs, PAs, NPs, RN, EMTs, health unit coordinators, and social workers. Onalaska Urgent Care provides care for an average of 100 to 150 patients daily ranging from pediatric to geriatric. If a patient's acuity requires emergent care our staff will stabilize and safely transfer the patient to Emergency Services at our main hospital campus in La Crosse, WI.

What's Available
- Part-time, 48 hours biweekly (0.6 FTE). Will orientate/train as close to full-time as possible
- 12hr shift with every third weekend & holiday. Typical shifts are 6:30a-6:30p, 8a-8p, 9a-9p, 10:15a-10:15p
- Starting pay of $18.31/hr and up, based on your years of experience, with generous shift/weekend/holiday differentials
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)
- Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
- Prior work experience in an emergency or pre-hospital setting is required
