What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Tech I, Sparta position at Gundersen Health System?
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40This position will focus on providing technical assistance to the eye practice by assisting the physician with appointments and diagnostic testing.
No vision or eye experience needed. All training for this role will be provided.
What you will do:
- Work 36 hours each week, Monday-Friday
- Hours are between 8:00a-5:00p
- Location : Sparta primarily; travel to Tomah or Viroqua until October 2025
- Have the opportunity to travel to all Gundersen optical locations
- Provide a quality optical experience to our patients and guests

What you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 2 years of customer service experience
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certified by JCAHPO within 18 months of hire
