Gundersen Health System is seeking a RN, Professional Development Nurse (Nurse Educator) supporting Hospice and Palliative Care. This is your opportunity to work in a highly adaptable and mission driven organization while doing the work you love in the beautiful Coulee region.

What you will do:

• 1.0 FTE, salaried role

• Lead nursing orientation, education, competency, and professional development with RNs, Home Health Aides and other members of the Hospice Team.

• Evaluate nursing practice, assess practice gaps, identify learning needs, participate in process improvement projects and initiatives both within area of responsibility and at the system level

• Prepare frontline staff with the knowledge and skills to provide high quality care and outstanding care experience in a supportive, professionally satisfying environment

• Work closely with amazing teams:

  • Hospice Leadership Team (Director, Manager, and Quality Improvement staff)

  • Professional Development Nurse colleagues throughout the organization

What you need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required

• Master’s degree in Nursing required within 5 years

• RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin and Minnesota upon hire

What is preferred:

• RN experience in Hospice and/or Palliative Care
