This position supports Gunderson Dettmer’s communications team in assisting and coordinating various projects and ongoing tasks. As an assistant, you will be working on a team with high-pressure deliverables in a fast-paced hybrid environment. You will be responsible for delivering precise administrative tasks, detailed project quality assurance, reporting and other assistive tasks under the Communications team. You will support projects in social media, internal communications, content, select website content management, and other communications projects identified by the manager.

Job Responsibilities
- Serve as an integral part of the brand communications team by assisting in the execution of project initiatives, logistics planning, and marketing program management and coordination.
- Coordination with social media workflows.
- Support and drive projects to ensure processes, systems, tools, and communication are current and consistent across functions.
- Take instruction from the Communications lead and other senior members on the team for additional support on specified projects.
- Organize communications files and assets from various projects and provide attention to detail upon execution of owned projects.
- Listen and ask questions to solicit feedback to understand needs and provide service.
- Work exceptionally under pressure and handle multiple tasks with minimal mistakes, taking care of time management and task prioritization.
- Deliver high-quality and detailed work, demonstrate operational excellence and ensure quality and integrity in everything you do.
- Have strong communication skills to ensure projects are completed on time and with efficiency.
- Continuous learner to understand the firm’s business, core messages, and team workflows.
- Strong proficiency with social media platforms and understand the features to optimize execution
- A curious professional to learn about problem solving and understand the importance of communication etiquette.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field
- A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience
- Some project management skills required
- Familiarity with file organization and management
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Full-Time, Non-Exempt
