SUMMARY
The Industrial Medic is responsible for administering basic first aid and medical care to individuals on site at Greenbrier Gunderson
Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are typical for this role. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
* Administer first aid, medical care, or facilitate external care when applicable
* Assist employees with post-injury advice, focused on injury recovery and injury prevention
* Create injury recovery plans and council employees through injury
* Actively promote health and injury awareness via written communication and/or risk recognition if working with manufacturing personnel
* Keep detailed records of care and medical support provided to employees.
* Keep active records of daily and end of shift reports
* Maintain and update an inventory of medical supplies, take on special projects, and work on other assigned tasks when needed
* Ensure return to work and workers compensation systems are functioning and effective
* Spend time in a production environment connecting with employees about at-risk work behaviors while encouraging safe workplace behaviors
* Assist with the coordination of COVID-19 safety and preparedness programs that focus on protecting the health of persons entering work sites or buildings
* Record required information about incidences of infection and actions taken
* Serve as a point of contact and information resource for individuals needing guidance about COVID-19 matters, policies, and procedures
* Stay up to date on the most recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and federal, state, and local authorities regarding COVID-19 status and mitigation plans.
* Prepare materials to support COVID communications
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Ability and willingness to be certified and trained in teaching CPR, First Aid, AED Certification required
* Ability and willingness to be certified in administering audiometry and pulmonary function testing required
Education and Experience
* High school diploma/GED required
* 2 years in a recent medical related role strongly preferred
* Current and valid proof of basic EMT certification through state or national registries required
* Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders preferred
* Experience with Workers Compensation preferred
* Experience with industrial wellness programs preferred
* Experience with digital recordkeeping preferred
* Experience with Microsoft office, OHM software experience preferred
