What We Need
We are looking for a Safety Technician to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings - Operations team at Gunlocke in Wayland, NY.
What You Will Do
- Safety Compliance - Assist in maintaining compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, including OSHA guidelines. Conduct facility risk assessments and engage members on equipment safety.
- Training and Development - Collaborate with leadership to deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels. Identify and address safety concerns to create improvements.
- Continuous Improvement - Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute ideas for improving safety processes and procedures. Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in safety management.
- Incident Investigation - Participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and implement preventative measures. Document findings and recommendations for corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Safety Culture Promotion - Actively promote a culture of safety throughout the organization by organizing safety awareness campaigns, recognition programs, and other initiatives to engage employees in safety-related activities.
- Data Management - Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions. Analyze safety data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred
- 2 or more years of experience in manufacturing role with a safety focus in lieu of degree
Salary : $18 - $28
