Information Security Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Security Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, engineering, and assessment & authorization processes. This role requires a deep understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, Defense Information Assurance & Certification Accreditation Process (DIACAP), and various IA tools. The candidate must be capable of evaluating security solutions and maintaining the operational security posture for information systems or programs.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Implement and manage the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
• Conduct assessments and authorizations (A&A) and certification & accreditation (C&A) activities.
• Utilize IA tools such as DISA Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and guidance documents for the Authority to Operate (ATO) process.
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
• Supervise and maintain the operational security posture for information systems or programs.
• Develop and implement security policies and ensure compliance with change management and configuration control processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and alignment with organizational goals.
• Produce high-quality documentation for all security processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• This role will be directly supporting USMC Systems Command (MCSC) and the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC Atlantic) Expeditionary Systems and Services (E2S2) providing cyber engineering, cyber security and IT operations to the following USMC Integrated Product Teams: Enterprise Infrastructure Modernization IPT, Enterprise Communications Infrastructure IPT, Wireless Enterprise Systems and Services IPT and Enterprise Engineering and Integration Services IPT, so direct experience supporting NIWC Atlantic, MCSC, E2S2 and these IPTs is essential.
• Five (5) years with Bachelor's degree or seven (7) years with HS/GED of practical experience demonstrating competency in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Test & Evaluation (T&E) or Assessment & Authorization (A&A)/ Certification & Accreditation (C&A) related field.
• Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, Defense Information Assurance & Certification Accreditation Process (DIACAP), IA tools such as DISA Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) or Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), familiar with security policies & guidance documents for ATO process, capable of evaluating security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing up to classified information, supervise and/or maintain the operational security posture for an information system or program, experience developing security policy and ensuring compliance of change management and configuration control processes.
• Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Designation: IAT (IA Technical) Level 2
• Ability to travel as needed (up to 30%).

Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in a technical or managerial related discipline, or High School Diploma/GED with relevant experience.

Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI clearance required.

**This position is contingent upon future contract award to Gunnison Consulting Group.

The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
