What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst position at Gunnison Consulting Group Inc?
This is a contingent position for an ongoing bid, and future hire is pending contract award to Gunnison. The candidate will be asked to participate in an orals presentation with the customer as part of Gunnison's bidding process.
Duties and responsibilities include :
- Identify, assess, and analyze cyber threats, including malware, phishing campaigns, and attack vectors.
- Collect, aggregate, and evaluate cyber threat intelligence from various sources, including OSINT, dark web forums, and commercial intelligence feeds.
- Develop high-quality written and oral reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of threat intelligence data to identify patterns, trends, and indicators of compromise (IOCs).
- Proactively search for malicious activity within the organization's network, leveraging threat intelligence to identify and investigate security incidents.
- Provide real-time threat intelligence to support incident response efforts.
- Collaborate with internal cybersecurity teams and external partners, including federal agencies and private threat intelligence vendors.
- Develop cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures based on intelligence insights to enhance the organization's security posture.
- Utilize cybersecurity tools and technologies such as Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIPs), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, and malware analysis tools.
- Participate in information-sharing initiatives and work with industry peers and government agencies to exchange intelligence.
- Conduct malware analysis and reverse engineering to uncover threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Map TTPs to frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK to support proactive threat defense.
- Mentor and train junior analysts in cyber threat intelligence analysis techniques and methodologies.

Education Requirement : Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field preferred. Master's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Assurance preferred as well.
Clearance Requirement : Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
