Senior Project Manager

Description

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented professional to support our DOI client.

Duties And Responsibilities Include

• Works under minimal oversight and is responsible for the management of a specific project and the work performed under assigned Work Orders.
• Manages a team of 10-15 team members.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team to achieve project goals.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
• Ensure projects align with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Performs day-to-day management of the project, identifies project risks and issues and implements issue and risk mitigation strategies.
• Acts as a facilitator between the federal office and IT contractor team.
• Responsible for ensuring that work performed under each Call Order is within scope, consistent with requirements, and delivers on time and within the budget. Identifies critical paths, tasks, dates, testing requirements.
• Monitors issues and provides resolutions for up-to- date status reports.
• Managing project budget and hours.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of project management experience.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and IT professionals.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Budget tracking.
• Resource management.
• Strong risk management skills to anticipate and mitigate potential issues.
• Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders, executives, and technical teams.
• PMP certification.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Federal contract experience
• Background in ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and web development best practices.
• Understanding of ITSM tools, such as BMC Technologies
• Scrum Master certification.
  
  

Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
