Task Delivery Manager - Software Development and O&M

The Task Delivery Manager leads the case management system team, ensuring timely software updates, agile sprint execution, and compliance with security and accessibility standards. Coordinates with developers, UX designers, and cybersecurity teams to enhance system functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Operations and Maintenance (O&M) : Manage full stack software developers, UX Researchers and Designers to work as integrated government / contractor agile development teams to perform O&M of an open-source codebase including troubleshooting, bug fix, minor patches, minor feature development, 3rd party software dependency updates; design debt updates, etc.
  • Major Feature Development : Providing full stack software developers as well as UX Researchers and Designers to work as part of integrated government / contractor agile development teams to produce major feature changes to the codebase.
  • Managing team resources, identifying blockers, and ensuring delivery of solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Project Management : Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), Github Issues, Monday, Jira
  • Delivery Planning : Roadmap creation, sprint planning, backlog prioritization.
  • Stakeholder Management : Communication with executives, customers, and tech teams.
  • Risk & Issue Management : Identifying bottlenecks and mitigating risks proactively.
  • Process Optimization : Continuous improvement using retrospectives, OKRs, and KPIs.
  • Budgeting & Resource Allocation : Managing costs and team capacity.
  • Technical Awareness : Understanding software development, DevOps, cloud, and CI / CD (not hands-on but enough to communicate effectively with engineers).
  • Communication and Collaboration : have effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment, including sharing progress, asking for help when needed, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Technology Knowledge : maintain knowledge and skills on existing and emerging agile best practices, technologies relevant to supported projects, security best practices, etc.
  • Required Experience : Minimum of 6 years of experience managing teams of developers, working with stakeholders, and delivering software projects using Agile methodologies.

    Education : Bachelor's or equivalent work experience

    Clearance Requirement : Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.

  • This position is contingent upon future contract award to Gunnison Consulting.
  • The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.

    Gunnison Consulting Group's total compensation package also includes bonus and profit-sharing opportunities, depending on company and employee performance. Available employee benefits include :

    Salary : $130,000 - $140,000
