Requirements
- Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license without record of suspension or revocation in any state.
- No felony convictions and/or serious misdemeanor, disqualifying criminal histories.
- Ability to obtain certification for CPR/First Aid.
- Ability to meet Department's physical standards.
- Must complete ICS 100, ICS 200 and ICS 700 within the first year of employment.
- Must be able to be on call during days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, corrections, management, or related field and (6) years of related work experience. Work experience must include (3) years of supervisory in this field.
- Any combination of education, training and work experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job. Including (3) years of supervisory in this field.
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and six years of progressively responsible work in law enforcement or police administration, including three years in a supervisory or lead capacity; two years of college level coursework in law enforcement, police administration or a related field is desirable.
- Six (6) years of experience in criminal justice work.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be 21 years or older at the time of employment.
- Must be able to communicate in English, both written and orally.
- Must be of good moral character and of temperate and industrious habits.
