Pay Rate
The hourly pay range is $23.60 to $30.41, depending on experience, plus full benefits.
*The County pays monthly on the last weekday of the month.*
Job Summary
To provide leadership and assistance to the Economic Security (ES) staff and provide services and guidance to eligible family members for all public assistance programs (SNAP, Medicaid, Medicare Savings Programs, TANF, Adult Financial, Long-term Care, LEAP, EOC and CCCAP). This includes leading ES team problem solving, technical solutions, procedure development, job aides, training and orientation for all new team members, managing and overseeing referrals, assessments, development of Individual Responsibility Contracts, employment and work participation activities, and case management functions that promote self-sufficiency. Some functions may include application initiation, interactive interviews, and ongoing case management and program eligibility re-determinations on an “as needed” basis. To provide mentoring to TANF eligible families in the form of work preparedness acting as a liaison between families and employers.

Requirements:- Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license.
- Must complete ICS 100, 200 and ICS 700 within the first year of employment.
Qualifications/Education
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a health care or human services related field.
- At least two years of work in the public sector with a minimum of one year in adult and public assistance, eligibility or economic security preferred.
- Or any combination of education and experience that Gunnison County deems appropriate to perform the duties of this position.
