Gunnison Valley Health is the sole community-owned health system for Gunnison County and surrounding areas. Requirements:
To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have:
- Education: Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Business Marketing or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years direct experience in Marketing and Communications. (Healthcare marketing experience preferred.)
- Skills:
- Knowledge of developing, implementing and measuring integrated campaigns with a focus on digital channels including content, website, email and social management.
- Design and video development skills utilizing Adobe Creative programs.
- Strategic, conceptual and analytical talent and proven ability to deliver effective communications.
- Knowledge of and experience in relationship marketing, media relations, social media, copy writing and event management.
- Ability to manage budgets, pressure and change in an environment of continuous improvement, and modify approaches to suit changing requirements.
Responsibilities:
As the Marketing and Communications Director for Gunnison Valley Health, you will be responsible for telling Gunnison Valley Health’s story to the community and its employees. Leading a department of three, you’ll utilize your unique skills and ideas by:
- Implementing, monitoring and evaluating the overall marketing and communications strategy for the entire health system.
- Maintaining an external awareness by monitoring conditions, trends, innovations, and practices that may have implications for Gunnison Valley Health and incorporating systems thinking to help lead change that supports continuous improvement.
- Connecting Gunnison Valley Health to the community by GVH promoting programs and services
- Driving the digital marketing strategy utilizing all digital platforms, including social, website, intranet, with a focus on developing, implementing and measuring campaigns to engage the broader community and employees.
- Strategically delivering communication initiatives by collaborating across the healthcare system to develop an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan
- Developing and implementing successful community outreach programs to elevate awareness and strengthen Gunnison Valley Health’s brand in the community.
Compensation: $1688.80/week - $2153.20/week, depending on experience.

Medical, dental, vision, health care FSA, dependent care FSA, and Lifestyle Spending Account: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period in a Full Time or Part Time position are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire.
Full Time staff are automatically enrolled in 401A plan as of date of hire.
Life and AD&D insurance: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire date.
Short-term and long-term disability: All active employees working 60 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire date.
Salary : $250
