Mechanical Engineer I - HVAC & Plumbing Job Description:
- Responsible for 3D HVAC and plumbing drawings, connecting systems, sizing and tagging
- Ensures schedules, key notes, and specs are up to date
- BIM360 setup, coordination and management
- Interface with equipment suppliers as needed
- Performs HVAC and Plumbing load calculations
- Source cut sheets for all equipment in project including setup and augment sheets
- Insert HVAC loads, plumbing loads, gas loads/diagram, DSB reports, custom equipment cut sheets, into job sheets.
- Coordinate with clients and internal team with/on behalf of project engineer as needed
- Take site visits as needed to confirm existing equipment/sizing or plan conformance
- Participates in occasional installations for different types of equipment--usually your own designs
- Builds positive relationships with customers and team
- Maintains a positive attitude and supports GUNTHERS Core Values and Mission
- Completes any additional tasks as assigned by Engineering Managers
Mechanical Engineer I - HVAC & Plumbing Job Qualifications:
- Experience with HVAC and/or Plumbing installation and specifications helpful
- Experience working with Revit MEP 2020-2024 required, skills in BIM 360, Navisworks
- Flexible work hours
- Organized, customer service oriented, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Remains calm and productive under deadlines.
- Self-starter, self-managed and productivity-focused candidate preferred.
- Strong and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Participate in whole-team meetings, morning standup, schematics, and peer reviews
- 1 years of HVAC and/or plumbing design experience preferred, but not required
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is a bonus
- Same-day (usually just a few hours) travel to customer sites is required.
