What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Manager position at Gurley Leep Automotive Family?
Gurley Leep Automotive Group is a growing family-owned company with 23 locations across five states. We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of our payroll process for over 1,300 team members. A minimum of 5 years of payroll processing and 3 years of payroll management experience is required. Previous experience in the automotive industry is a plus, but not required.
We are looking for a highly organized individual with a strong understanding of payroll processing, regulations, and compliance requirements, and who will maintain the highest level of confidentiality, has meticulous attention to detail, effective communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and is proficient in third party payroll systems and Microsoft Excel. This position will oversee/manage 3 payroll specialists while working onsite at our corporate office.
Requirements:
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all team members, including salary, hourly, commission, and flat rate pay types while addressing any discrepancies and making necessary corrections.
Supervise and support a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance, coaching, training, and performance feedback.
Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary updates to ensure compliance.
Manage third party payroll software, including making sure any changes are implemented correctly and are maintained in accordance with internal and external policies.
Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and other departments to address payroll related issues and ensure seamless integration with other business processes and partners.
