Job Summary:
Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa is seeking an energetic and organized Kids Club Manager to oversee our seasonal children’s program. This role is perfect for a passionate individual who enjoys creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children. The Kids Club Manager will be responsible for daily operations, activity planning, staff supervision, and ensuring an exceptional experience for our young guests and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the Kids Club, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for children.
- Develop and implement engaging activities, including arts & crafts, games, outdoor adventures, and themed events.
- Supervise and lead Kids Club staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain a structured schedule of activities and ensure all programs run smoothly.
- Communicate effectively with parents, addressing any concerns and ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Ensure all safety and resort policies are strictly followed.
- Manage Kids Club supplies and ensure the activity space remains clean and organized.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in childcare, education, recreation, or hospitality preferred.
- Leadership experience in a camp, daycare, or resort setting is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to engage and entertain children in a dynamic environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification, a huge plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to work the entire duration of the program (June 28 – August 31)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and actively engage with children for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to participate in outdoor activities, including beach and poolside games.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations and ensure children's safety.
Compensation & Schedule:
- $1450 per week
- Eligible to accrue up to 56 hours of paid sick leave
