Job Summary:
Residence Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance tasks, assisting in beach setup and service, and ensuring upkeep of the residences and surrounding property. This role involves hands-on maintenance work and a high degree of adaptability, encompassing a wide range of duties and the ability to shift priorities as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks around the residences, including minor repairs and upkeep.
- Assist with beach setup and service, ensuring all equipment is properly placed and maintained.
- Organize tool and equipment storage to maintain tidiness of work spaces.
- Weekly inspections of outdoor pathway lights to ensure adequate lighting. Basic electrical knowledge is needed to repair faulty or broken light fixtures.
- Dispose of garbage from receptacles outside residences, addressing any maintenance needs.
- Respond to maintenance calls in a timely manner, assisting residences with any urgent issues.
- Report any safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or security breaches to the appropriate department.
- Any other tasks as assigned by Residence Management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance, security, or property management preferred.
- Ability to perform light repairs, cleaning, and basic maintenance tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify safety concerns.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, required.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment or materials as needed.
- Must be able to work weekends (Friday-Tuesday).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol the property for extended periods.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights for window cleaning and minor repairs.
- Ability to operate hand tools, light maintenance equipment, and perform repetitive tasks.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- $23.00-$25.00 per hour
