Job Summary:
The Beach Club Host is the first point of contact for guests at Gurney's Montauk Beach Club, providing a warm welcome and ensuring a seamless and memorable guest experience. This role involves managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest inquiries while maintaining a professional and hospitable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all guests with a warm, friendly demeanor.
- Escort guests to their reserved cabanas, loungers, or beachside tables.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally.
- Handle all reservations and walk-in guest arrangements using the appropriate systems.
- Maintain an organized reservation log to ensure accurate seating flow.
- Provide accurate information about availability, amenities, and services.
- Manage the seating chart to optimize guest experience and service efficiency.
- Coordinate with the Beach Club servers and management team to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate with guests regarding Beach Club policies, including seating time limits, food and beverage minimums, and exclusive offerings.
- Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to support timely service.
- Ensure the Beach Club is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Uphold Gurney's luxury hospitality standards, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Qualifications:
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in reservation systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be available on weekends, holidays, and during peak summer hours.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. when assisting with set-up or seating arrangements.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- $18.00-$20.00 per hour
