The Job:
- The Houseperson is responsible for providing prompt and efficient Housekeeping service to our Guests, Public areas and fellow Housekeeping coworkers.
- Responsible for cleanliness of all guest areas around the resort following Gurney’s standards
- Responsible for Deep Cleaning of all guest areas around the resort following Gurney’s standards
- Delivery of guest request and fellow coworkers requests to the guest rooms
- Handling guest complaints
- Handling lost and found items following Gurney’s lost and found procedure
- Assist in special Housekeeping projects
- Report any damage to Engineering/Security Departments
- Assist fellow employees as needed
- May be required to perform additional departmental duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate:

- You are a master multitasker and have a “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
- You have previous cleaning experience.
- Ability to work and remain calm and professional under potentially stressful situations to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Dependable and available to work within the hotel on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands.
Additional Details:
- Position requires walking and giving direction most of the work day. Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours a day.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
- Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.
