Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is a leading Bay Area private healthcare college offering an extensive variety of nursing and allied healthcare programs such as: Vocational Nurse and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN pathway) as well as Dental Assistant and healthcare programs: Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant, Ultrasound Technology, Vascular Ultrasound Technology, Cardiac Ultrasound Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, MRI, Radiologic Technology, and Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Imaging, Nursing and Radiation Therapy.
We are currently seeking a Simulation Lab Technician for our Fresno Campus
Basic Function
Under direct supervision, the Simulation Technician position works with Program Heads (Program Coordinator, Supervisor, and/or Director) and the Simulation Coordinator in providing support to the simulation learning experience. This role will interact directly with Faculty and Students based on the needs of the Program Head. The Simulation Technician role will ultimately require the knowledge of the program at their campus to best support the needs of the Program Heads, Simulation Coordinator, Faculty, and Students.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The job duties consist of the following and are not limited to:
- Maintain inventory of all supplies, equipment, AV materials, and laboratory manuals
- Monitor maintenance of the Simulation and Skills Lab equipment and assures the cleanliness and efficiency of the
- Simulation and Skills Lab
- Provide technical support and assistance to the Simulation Coordinator and Faculty
- Ensure planning, implementation, and evaluation phases of simulation are prepared and organized
- Assist the Simulation Coordinator in maintaining an organized calendar for simulation and skills lab
- Assist the Simulation Coordinator in the development and implementation of detailed, clinically based scenarios for
- computerized models
- Assist the Simulation Coordinator and Faculty in planning a variety of simulation teaching methodologies
- Assist the Simulation Coordinator in grading student performance and simulation assignments
- Tracking outstanding student work for all simulation coursework
- Assist the Simulation Coordinator in initiating, following-up, and completing student advising documentation
- Provide tutoring, mentoring, and one on one sessions with the students as directed by the Simulation Coordinator
- and Program Coordinator/Director
- Assist the Simulation Coordinator in providing remedial work and open simulation lab practice
- Preparation, monitoring, and filing of competency checklists
- IV class preparation and follow up paperwork as needed
- Demonstrates effective and thoughtful integration of current technologies and online activities
- Demonstrates professionalism
Requirements
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- Graduation from program or relevantly similar program
- Organizational knowledge of educational institutions
- Good Working knowledge of Google Suite: Docs, Sheets, Etc.
- One year experience in similar position is preferable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
